  The BALB/c genome was analysed using BAC clone and PCR for Klra loci. A total of 8 Klra loci were found and ordered as listed here for this experiment. Two other distal loci were identified as pseudogenes. One was identified in two fragments of 2.4/0.9kb and called as Klra17 like. A 3.5 kb fragment identified as gamma was also biotyped as a pseudogene. MGI curators did not find a sequence identifiers for the two psudogenes, and therefore they were not added to the gene list for Klra loci.
