  A region of mouse Chromosome 17 was indicated as resonsible for recombination hotspots within the Psmb9 locus and other mouse chromosome regions. This locus was Identified within a region flanked by D17Mit57 and D17Mit213 ( between 10 and 16 Mb ) This locus may be the same as Rcr1 as reported J:146599 ED et al., "Trans-regulation of mouse meiotic recombination hotspots by Rcr1."
