  DNA from partially congenic strains C57BL/6J.spretus-c+ Hbb^s, C57BL/6J-c^h Hbb^p and C57BL/6J-c+ Hbb^d-cast were digested with EcoRI, Southern blotted and probed using mouse genomic probe PTY-2 for gene Tyr. The tested offspring from the congenic lines that received the + allele of the c locus from the donor parent cotransferred the Tyr fragment. There were no recombination between the c locus and the Tyr locus.
