Experiment

Somatic cell hybrids were from fusion of Chinese hamster cell lines E36 and RJK with normal or tumor cells from BALB/c, C3H, A/HeJ or CD1 mice. BamHI digested hybrid DNA was probed on Southern blots for Hoxd3 using genomic clone mh23. Somatic cell hybrids with a rearranged chromosome were scored as positive for that chromosome.
