  • Experiment
    N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea (ENU) mutagenesis screens were used to identify two mutations that affect cardiomyophathy in mouse. To narrow the region fine mapping using a genome wide SNP panel was employed. Cmy1 was mapped to mouse Chromosome 1 and Cmy2 wasmapped to mouse Chromsome 15. Cmy1 was localized to a 9 Mb region (13.4 to 21.4 Mb) bordered by D1Mit67 and SNP 21.274. Further mapping showed the defined interval to included SNP rs6404446 and rs1347575. Using similar mapping techniques Cmy2 mapped to aregion of mouse Chromosome 15 defined by SNP rs4230884 and SNP rs6285067 this region included D15Mit34.
