• Experiment
  A congenic stock C3H/HeN-nu/nu in which the nu allele was derived from BALB/c was examined. Approximately 60% of the C3H/HeN-nu/nu stock was heterozygous for the Il3 BALB/c allele. The retention of Il3 despite at least 9 generations of backcross to C3H/HeN indicates that Il3 and Foxn1^nu are linked on Chromosome 11.
