  The Chromosome 7 locus defined by D7Was7 is similar to DXWas7 on the X chromosome.
• Experiment
  D7Was12 was isolated from an X⁷ flow-sorted library where the X⁷ chromosome was a product of the Is(In7;X)1Ct rearrangement. The localization of D7Was12 to the C-E region of Chromosome 17 was inferred from a 2:3 hybridization signal intensity observed when DNA from females carrying balanced versus unbalanced translocation products was analyzed. Analysis of albino deletions demonstrated that D7Was12 is present in c^14cos/c^14cos mice but absent in c^3H/c^6H mice. D7Was12 was further localized to the overlapping deleted region in c^3H and c^6H which includes the Mod2 locus.
