Tcrg was cotransferred with bg from strain SB/Le during the construction of congenic strain C57BL/6J-bg. After 12 backcross generations and 14 inbreeding generations maintaining the segregation of beige (bg), no recombination had occurred with 26 opportunities indicating close linkage of bg and Tcrg.
