  Cellular DNA from control strains and from Gdc-1 congenic mice, B6.Cas-Gdc-1^d and LT.Cas-Gdc-1^d, was digested with HindIII and probed on Southern blots using cDNA probe C8(pC8). DNA from mice carrying the d allele of Gdc-1 had a 5.9 kb fragment and mice with the b or c alleles a 7.9 kb fragment. These data indicate that C8 cDNA is complementary to Chromosome 15 DNA in the region of the Gdc-1 locus.
