  Three monochromosomal hybrids, F(11)J, F(11)N, F(11)U, from fusion of mouse and rat cells retained only mouse Chromosome 11. Southern blots of MspI digested DNA from these lines were negative for mouse Tat using rat cDNA probe pcTAT-3. These data demonstrate the nonlinkage of Tat and the regulatory locus Tse1 which is known to be on Chromosome 11.
