Notes

Somatic cell hybrids between mouse spleen cells and Chinese hamster Dona3 cell (PBH series) were analyzed. All hybrids were positive for the Chromosome 11 marker Tk1, but only some were positive for Chromosome 11 Galk1, suggesting that a Chromosome 11 deletion had occurred during cell passage. Six of these hybrids were probed for Erbb and Erba by filter hybridization. Two were positive for Erba and Tk1 but negative for Erbb and Galk1; two were positive for Tk1 and Galk1, but negative for Erbb and Erba; and twowere positive for Tk1 only. Erbb and Galk1 segregated independantly, suggesting that they may be located on opposite sides of Tk1 on Chromosome 11.
