  Tg6208 is an insertional transgene at the Sl locus.
• Experiment
  In the cross Tg/+ (Tg6208 heterozygote) female x Sl<pan/Sl^pan, four white transgenic offspring and three pigmented nontransgenic offspring were produced indicating that Sl^tg does not complement Sl^pan. These data support the conclusion that the transgene Tg6208 is an insertional mutation of the Sl locus and is designated Sl^tg.
