    Emv-15a was associated with strains that carry the agouti alleles A, Aw, Avy, Aiy, am, ax, ajl and ae; Emv-15b was associated with strains that carry the agouti alleles a, Asy, Aw-J, Ai and at-42J. Emv-15v is associated with the agouti allele Ay. A discordant association suggesting crossing over is evident in SM/J-Aw/a which is Emv-15a/a and not Emv-15a/b; SM/J-a/a which is Emv-15a/a and not Emv-15b/b and YS/Icr which is Emv-15v/v and Ay/a or a/a.
