  Strains of mice carrying various agouti alleles were tested for ecotropic MuLV sequences. An association between strains carrying A^y (C57BL/6J-A^y/a, 129/Sv-A^y, LT/Sv-A^y/a) and a PvuII 4.7kb fragment identifying Emv-15 was observed. This 4.7kb fragment was not associated with agouti alleles a, a^t, aⁱ, a^vy, A^ij, A^sy, a^e, a^w-J or A^w.
