• Experiment
  A panel of C.B/R, CXAXCB and AXC Igh recombinant strains were used to show that Lm-1 maps near Aat and is telomeric to both Igh-V and Igh-C. In the typing of AXC recombinant strains (all AXC strains are recombinant between Igh-V and Igh-C), 6 strains showed recombination between Tsu and Lm-1 placing Lm-1 telomeric to Tsu. In total, 41 chromosomes were analyzed and 2 were recombinant between Aat and Lm-1 on Chromosome 12 yielding a linkage distance of 5cM (95% confidence interval, 0.6-16cM) between the two loci.
