• Experiment
  Southern anlaysis was performed on nine spontaneously transformed NIH3T3 cell lines. The Wnt2 gene was amplified 10-20 fold in five of six lines known to exhibit Met gene amplification (ST1, ST3, ST4, ST6, ST7). The Wnt2 gene was not amplified in the three lines that do not exhibit that gene amplification (ST8, ST9, ST10). These results indicate that Met and Wnt2 are closely linked.
