  During the construction of congenic B10.SM-H-2^v the locus for gene Plg was cotransferred from SM/J to the C57BL/10 background. Conversely, this locus was not transferred from PL/J to C57BL/10 during the construction of B10.PL-H-2^u. These results provide evidence of linkage of H-2 with Plg and indicate that the congenic region of B10.SM-H-2^v is more centromeric than that of B10.PL-H-2^u. A distance between H-2 and Plg on Chromosome 17 was not suggested.
