  Eighteen Chinese hamster x mouse and one rat x mouse somatic cell hybrids were analyzed. Two restriction fragments (3.5 kb and 1.2 kb) were 100% concordant with mouse Chromosome 8; another fragment (4.3 kb) was concordant with the X Chromosome. The authors suggest the X Chromosome fragment may represent a pseudogene or related sequences.
