Notes
  • Experiment
Ts16 (trisomy 16) and normal embryos from a mating between C57BL/6N females and Rb(16.17)32Lub/Rb(11.16)2H males were analyzed. Trisomic embryos expressed Hmgn1 at a level indicative of three gene copies based on Northern analysis of mRNA levels and on immunoblots of protein. The expression of Hmgn1 an unlinked gene, was measured as the control. These data suggest that Hmgn1 maps to Chromosome 16 and are consistent with the mapping of the human homolog to Chromosome 21.
