  Somatic cell hybrids were the EBS series between mouse BALB/c spleen cells and Chinese hamster cell line E36. A rat x mouse microcell hybrid, F(11)G, containing mouse Chromosomes 6, 11, 13, 14 and 15 was also tested. PstI digested DNA from the microcell hybrid tested positive when probed on Southern blots with the Scya2 probe.
