  Twenty-five somatic cell hybrids from fusion of Chinese hamster cell line E36 with peritoneal or spleen cells from BALB/c or NFS.Akv-2 mice were used to assign Sag to Chromosome 1. At least 6 discordancies were found for every chromosome except Chromosome 1, which had 2 discordancies. These two discordant hybrids were negative for Sag and contained deletions of the proximal one-third of Chromosome 1 suggesting that Sag maps to this region.
