  Analysis of 39 recombinant chromosomes involving H-2 haplotypes (designated f) that recombined in the S/D region provided evidence that 9 had Hh-1 phenotypes different from the parents. The authors suggest that the gene mapping to this S/D crossover region is the regulatory gene for Hh-1 (Hh-1r) and that the Hh-1 structural gene may map elsewhere.
