  The 76 progeny resulting from a backcross between (C57BL/6J x C3H/HeSnJ)F1 +/+ C57BL/6J T^hp/+ were analyzed for the T deletion T^hp, testes, ovaries, XY Chromosomes and Chromosome 17 markers D17Leh119I, D17Leh119II, D17Rp17, Hba-ps4. There were 14 progeny that were typed XY T^hp/+, of these, 6 developed both ovaries and testes, 3 having Chromosome 17 markers from C57BL/6J and 3 having Chromosome 17 markers from C3H/HeSnJ. Eight XY T^hp/+ mice developed normal testes, of these 2 inherited Chromosome 17 markers from C57BL/6J, 2 from C3H/HeSnJ and 1 showing markers from both chromosomes, indicative of a recombination between D17Leh119II and D17Rp17.
