  Positive hybridization of fragments of mouse BamHI digested genomic DNA with probe A (mouse gene F8a) was reported. Probe A was derived from cos p542 and represents a gene within (intron 22) the human factor VIII (Cf-8) gene. Southern blots (data not shown) were used to localize the probe to the X Chromosome of the mouse.
