DXWas70 Southern analysis 70-38
Notes
  • Experiment
Bc11 digest of mouse DNA were probed on Southern blots for hybridization of probe 70-38. DNA sequences homologous to the probe were found on multiple chromosomes. In strains A/J, AKR/J, C3H/HeJ, C57BL/6J, DBA/2J and SWR/J hybridization was to the X Chromosome (gene DXWas70). In situ hybridization to metaphase chromosomes (data not provided) confirmed the assignments to be centromeric. In addition, somatic cell hybrids constructed with BALB/c mouse cells exhibited concordant segregation of the X Chromosome and probe 70-38.
