  Human x mouse microcell hybrids were from fusion of human cell line HeLaS3 with mouse primary embryo fibroblasts. Five primary clones, HEM2M, HEM3, HEM5, HEM13 and HEM15 that were ouabain resistant all contained mouse Chromosome 3. Analysis of subclones isolated without selection demonstrated concordant retention or loss of Chromosome 3 with ouabain resistance confirming the assignment of Oua-1 to this chromosome.
