Syp Southern analysis GH183-1
Notes
  • Experiment
Somatic cell hybrids were from fusion of Chinese hamster or rat with mouse cells. In addition, series I subclones derived from fusion of V79/380-6 Chinese hamster cells and male mouse fibroblasts that carry Searle's translocation (X;16)16H were used for regional assignment of mouse gene Syp. Subclones containing the distal half of the X chromosome (region D-F4) were negative for Syp when probed with the human probe GH183-1. This result suggests that a locus for Syp resides on the X Chromosome, proximal to band D.
