  Revised gene symbols: Fgf4 and Fgf3 (formerly Hstf-1 and Int-2 respectively).
• Experiment
  Cosmid clone L361-M3 contains the Fgf4 gene. This clone was triple digested using MluI, NotI, and NruI producing fragments of 21kb, 17kb and 4.3kb and with SalI, NotI, and NruI producing fargments of 23kb, 15kb and 4.3kb. Genomic probe M1.8 represents gene Fgf4 and probe Int-2c represents the third exon of gene Fgf3. These probes when hybridized on Southern blots were observed to share a common 21kb and a common 23kb fragment from the triple digests suggesting that these two loci are separated by at least 21kb.
