• Experiment
  Tcp-11 displays testis-specific postmeiotic expression in mice as shown by Northern analysis. Tcp-11 was mapped to Chromosome 17 by analysis of somatic cell hybrids. A 15kb allele was detected on Southerns of EcoRI digested DNA from BALB/c, mouse-hamsterhybrid R44 and mouse-human hybrid 167/EJ. Hybrid R44 contains mouse Chromsomes 17 and 18 and hybrid 167/EJ contains mouse Chromosomes 17 and 3. This allele was not detected in mouse-dog hybrid MDMB(C)B1 that contains a fragment of mouse Chromosome 17 from a point distal to Crya to the Tla-Qa region or in mouse-monkey hybrid CVQE that contains proximal fragments of mouse Chromosome 17.
