  Clone pBs13 was derived from a t⁶/t^w1 mouse testis cDNA library. This 2028bp clone contains the entire coding region of Tcp-11. Southern analysis of genomic DNA reveal that pBs13 sequences were present in t haplotype t^h20 and absent in partial t^w18 both of which carry small t complex deletions. The t^w18 deletion is at the proximal edge of the distal inversion. This indicates that Tcp-11 maps either between these deletions or distal to t^h20.
