  Analysis of 75 backcross offspring from (C57BL/6 or BALB/c x SPE/Pas)F1 female x C57BL/6 male (N = 49) or (BALB/c x SPE/Pas)F1 female x BALB/c male (N = 26) indicated that Prxx2 maps to Chromosome 2. The Prrx2 locus mapped 19.3 cM (+/- 5.2) from Hoxd. Pedigree analysis showed that Prxx2 lies between Vim and Hoxd.
