  • Experiment
    Examination of +/+ and Cm/+ mice by Southern blot analysis indicated that the Cm mutation is a deletion of Snap. These data show approximately 50% lower levels of mRNA and protein in Cm/+ mice as compared to +/+. Further, (+/+ M. spretus x Cm/+ M. m. musculus)F1 mice that were Cm/+ lacked the M. m. musculus bands in RFLP analysis. Analysis of Bmp2 and Pax1 show that these two loci are not included in the Snap-Cm deletion.
