  When offspring from crosses of B10 congenics, (B10.Q-a^t x B10.Q)F1 x B10.Q, were grafted with skin from B10.Q-a^t mice 17/38 grafts were rejected, indicating a single segregating gene was responsible. Of the a/a mice 15/19 were rejected; of the a^t/a^t mice 2/19 were rejected. These data suggest that H(a^t) and a^t are closely linked. The presence of a new insertion of an ectropic MuLV was observed in B10.Q-a^t; its relationship to the a^t mutation and H(a^t) is unknown.
