Experiment

By Southern analysis using subfragments of Pax3 cDNA it was demonstrated that Pax3 and Sp are allelic. Sp^2H/Sp^2H mice were found to carry a 32 nucleotide deletion covering alanine 237-threonine 248 of the Pax3 polypeptide.
