Notes
  • Reference
Sts is located in the pseudoautosomal region the X and Y Chromosomes. The Y Chromosome location of Sts is analyzed here.
  • Experiment
An association of Sts with the Sxr region [Tp(Y)1Ct] on the Y Chromosome was observed. Mice from a Sts deficient mouse strain C3H/An were mated to Sxr/Y mice and progeny from the backcross to C3H/An (Sts-/Sts-) were analyzed. These data demonstrated that the Y Chromosome carries a fully functional Sts gene tightly linked to Sxr. The Sxr region was identified with probes pCRY8/B and pYC66/B.
