  • Reference
Revised gene symbol: Aat (formerly Pre-1).
  • Experiment
Somatic cell hybrids were constructed between J558 BALB/c myeloma cells carrying a T(12;15) translocation and Wg3 Chinese hamster cells. Two hybrids carrying the mouse reciprocal translocation products 1215 and 1512 and one hybrid carrying mouse Chromosomes 1215, 1512 and 15 were all positive for mouse Chromosome 12 genes Fos, Serpina1, Igh-C and Igh-V and mouse Chromosome 15 genes Pdgfb (formerly Sis) and Myc. One hybrid carrying mouse translocation product 1215 was positive for all of these genes except Igh-V. Combined with other published data, the gene order suggested on Chromosome 12 is: centromere - Serpina1 - Igh-C - Igh-V.
