    Specific Pmp22 PCR products were not observed in Chinese hamster x mouse somatic cell hybrid lines containing overlapping sets of all mouse chromosomes except 11. Pmp22 was confirmed to Chromosome 11 when a rat x mouse hybrid cell line RTM9, containing 11 and 13 only, was found positive for mouse specific Pmp22 PCR fragments.
