• Experiment
  Clone II 3.5 was derived from 500kb of BALB/c genomic DNA spanning a breakpoint within the D and Qa regions of the H2 complex on Chromosome 17. Clone II 3.5 and a mouse TNF genomic clone were subjected to hybridization with a Tnfa probe. Genes Tnfa and Tnfb were assigned a position 70kb proximal to the D region in the BALB/c mouse. These genes are arranged in tandem and orientated (3'-5') in the opposite direction as D (5'3') region genes.
