• Experiment
  In situ hybridization was performed with probe cM(alpha)1 (Hba) and pMTK-116 (the Tk-1 probe assigned to Chromosome 11 in Hozier, J. et al., Genomics 10:827, 1991). Both signals co-localized on Chromosome 11. Cosmid walking was performed and the cosmids cMD7, cMP1, cML1 and cM(alpha)1 were found to be contiguous, thus, Egfr-rs (cMD7), Mpg (cMP1, cML1), and Hba (cM(alpha)1) are all on Chromosome 11.
