  Genes Apoe, Apoca and Apoc2 are all contained within clone mAPOE27 isolated from strain C57BL/Rij.
• Experiment
  Restriction mapping analysis of C57BL/Rij DNA indicates that genes Apoe, Apoc1 and Apoc2 are clustered in that order on mouse Chromsome 7. Apoc1 is approximately 4.0kb from Apoe and Apoc2 is approximately 14.5kb from Apoe. The same gene order is conserved in strain 129/J based on restriction analysis of cosmid clones cos7, cos1 and cos6.
