Notes
  • Experiment
Southern analysis of mice from a (Mus domesticus/Mus spretus)F1 x Mus spretus backcross were probed with an X-Chromosome specific probe for Ube1X. Homologous male specific fragments were observed mapping to the short arm of the Y-Chromosome. A specific band that was deleted in XXSxrb mice represents a pseudogene designated as Ube1y-1ps1. The homologous Ube1X fragments observed on Yp that were not deleted in Sxrd are designated by the gene symbol Ubely1.
