  Igk-V28 is the gene symbol representing immunoglobulin light chain V region the I^beta peptide marker. Author uses Ly-2 and Ly-3 for Cd8a and Cd8b respectively.
• Experiment
  Author shows a correlation between expression of Igk-V28 with Cd8b expression in 27 inbred and congenic strains. At backcross generation 16 during the derivation of C57BL/6-Ly-2^a Ly-3^a the locus Igk-V28 was observed cosegregating with Cd8a and Cd8b.
