  Col4a1 and Col4a2 reported as UN in this reference have subsequently been assigned to Chromosome 8.
• Experiment
  Using the genomic clone, gCIV-G47, Col4a1 and Col4a2 were found to be arranged in a head-to-head fashion. The translation initiation codons of the two sequences are within 874 nucleotides. The exact transcription start site of both genes was not possible to obtain, however, each site is separated by no more than 270 nucleotides.
