Experiment

Using Southern analysis and deletion mapping, it was determined the coding region of Pax3 was deleted in the Sp^4H allele and that Pax3 is also deleted in the Sp^r allele. This and other previously published evidence provide a strong case that Pax3 andSp are allelic.
