  The Apoc1 gene is located 3.4kb 3' of the Apoe gene on cosmid mAPOE27 with both genes being transcribed in the same orientation. Gene Apoc2 is also located on this same cosmid approximately 10kb from Apoc1. The arrangement of the genes on the cosmid is Apoe - Apoc1 - Apoc2 with all genes being transcribed in the same direction.
