Notes
  • Experiment
Using YAC PA-2 anonymous X Chromosome DNA segments, DXPas29 and DXPas28 were located telomeric to Xist, with DXPas29 being 30kb telomeric and DXPas28 lying 20-30kb telomeric. DXPas31 was localized approximately 140kb proximal to Xist. There have been 13 cross-over events detected between Ta and Moblo. Typing Xce indicates that 8 of those 13 cross-overs occurred between Xce and Moblo (data not shown). DNA from recombinant chromosomes from known parental Xce typings were PCR amplified. Complete linkagebetween DXPas31, Xce, DXPas29 and DXPas28 was observed (data not shown). Authors state since these microsatellite markers and Xce are tightly linked, it suggests a strong concordance between Xce and Xist.
