Experiment

Linkage for diabetes susceptibility and insulitis was found by association using a combination of microsatellite and minisatellite markers (data not shown), in a panel of 326 interspecific backcross animals (NOD/Lt x SEG/Pas)F1 x NOD/Lt. Marker D3Nds2 showed strong association with these traits, having a P value of 0.0080.
