  Using restriction mapping and Southern analysis of overlapping clones, gene order was determined to be Bglap1 - Bglap2 - Bglap-rs1. It was futher determined that Bglap1 is separated from Bglap2 by an intergenic distance of 5.5kb. Bglap2 is separated from Bglap-rs1 by an intergenic distance of 4.4kb. All three genes are organized head to tail within a 19kb fragment on Chromosome 3.
