Notes
  • Experiment
A mitotic linkage map of mouse Chromosome 17 was constructed and an order of genes was deduced from recombination within somatic cells. Mitotic recombination, chromosome loss and deletions are events which contribute to allele loss. Alleles were typed bySouthern analysis for H2-D proximal markers Tcp1, D17Tu50, Hba-ps4, Pim1, Cryaa and H2-K and for distal D17Tu49. A gene order of Tcp1 - D17Tu50 - Hba-ps4 - Pim1 - Cryaa - H2-K - H2-D was established based on 50 allele loss variant lines which were all recombinant within the Tcp1 - H2-D region. The derived mitotic map and established meiotic were colinear in this region.
