  • Experiment
Nine t-haplotype specific proteins were identified using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. The expression of these proteins is directed by genes associated with mutant t-haplotypes. 129/Sv mice congenic for partial t-haplotypes were used to map the 9 protein genes within the t-complex. Tcp1, Tcp4, Tcp5, Tcp8 and Tcp9 mapped within the proximal t-complex, between the centromere and Itpr3tf. Genes Tcp3, Tcp6 and Tcp7 mapped to the distal half of t. The tw18 haplotype on both a 129/Sv and C3H background wasused to map Pgk2 to the distal region of the t-complex. The location of these protein genes enables their use in the identification of mutants that carry proximal or distal regions of the t-complex.
